Senator Warren’s Proposal

However, a couple years ago, Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) introduced a proposal that would allow those with federal student loan debt to refinance their loans.

Senator Sanders’s Proposal

And more recently, Bernie Sanders has made student loan debt reform one of his core campaign platforms, and called for a serious overhaul of the entire Federal student loan system. One of the six main tenets of his proposed reforms is the opportunity to allow refinancing on Federal student loan debt.
